A 29-year-old man saved numerous lives after he took down the shooter who opened fire at a Waffle House in Nashville, Tennessee, Sunday morning, according to police.
James Shaw Jr. saw a chance to take down the shooter and did not hesitate, he said. The gunman entered naked except for a green jacket, which he later took off and opened fire, killing four people and injuring at least three others before Shaw Jr. was able to get the gun away from the shooter, WBIR 10 News reported.

“I was just trying to get myself out. I saw the opportunity and pretty much took it,” Shaw Jr. said in an interview with WBIR 10 News. “I don’t know if it has hit me yet as far as witnessing other people dying,” he continued. “It’s kind of, it shouldn’t have happened. When I was in the ambulance to hospital, I kept thinking that I’m going to wake up and it’s not going to be real. It is something out a movie. I’m OK though, but I hate that it happened.”

[…] more gun control measures on Sunday, hours after 29-year-old Travis Reinking of Morton, Illinois allegedly shot and killed four people at a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee in the early hours of Sunday […]
James Shaw Jr should have finished the job. Now teh crazy is still on the loose, probably re-armed, and headed somewhere else. Unless he did us all a favor and erased himself…but that’s not likely, because he was insane enough to think he could walk right up Pennsylvania Avenue and meet with Trump.
Everyone needs watch sixes more alertly than usual until this one is neutralized.
There should be a law against shooting people. I’m sure it would stop all of this.
Now Briley wants gun control. Moron.
A terrible tragedy committed by yet another killer whom our federal government let fall through the cracks of our justice system. Of course all Briley does is take the opportunity to blame the guns instead of the criminal. When will this country realize that without harsh consequences i.e.death penalties to those who commit these haenous acts, theres no reason to believe these events will not continue to get more and more prevelent, whether it’s by an AR15, shotgun, pistol, or knife. As a matter of fact, 8 or more prisoners were just recently killed with man made weapons. We once had a justice system that believed in punishment and consequences for acts of crime and loss of lives against sick people, but now for some reason its the victims that are left suffering without any true justice.
